Here nature reveals itself in all its beauty: our campsite is located in the countryside, in Cavo in the municipality of Rio on Elba Island.

Elbadoc Camping Village is located in a place that is a crossroads of scents and enchantments.
A place dedicated to those who love nature, tranquillity and peace. We are located in a valley full of eucalyptus, holm oaks, olive trees and maritime pines, refreshing in the summer and close to the sea.
Our camping village is the ideal place to enjoy an outdoor holiday, savouring the true essence of Elba, with wellness and peacefulness.
Elbadoc Camping Village is easy to reach, as we are only 800 metres from the port of Cavo, connected by ferry and hydrofoil. This is the shortest and quickest way to get to the Island of Elba!

At our village, you can choose your favourite holiday: camping, or a comfortable mobile home or a tent equipped with all imaginable amenities.
Here you will find yourself amidst the scents of the typical essences of the Tuscan Archipelago, such as nipitella, rosemary and thyme, and our fruit trees: fig, plum, apple, cherry, almond... marvellous plants that bear tasty fruit for you to enjoy. Fresh, juicy, healthy!

We protect the nature through simple gestures

We try to preserve our surroundings by taking measures to keep the environment clean and healthy. We sort our waste, limit water consumption, use natural and non-polluting substances and promote the use of electric vehicles and bicycles.
We also encourage you to cooperate with the recycling of rubbish, trying to avoid wasting water and to use your car only when it is really necessary within the village.

AT WHAT TIME IS THE RECEPTION OPEN?

RECEPTION HOURS
9 am - 1 pm and 3 pm - 7 pm from June to September.
Hours for the low season are on display in the office.
When the Reception desk is closed, please contact the Caretaker in the accommodation next to the Reception desk in case of emergency.

AT WHAT TIME CAN I CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT?

CHECK IN TIMES
From 4 pm on the day of arrival
It is possible to request Early Check in with entry to the accommodation from 9 am to 4 pm, at an additional cost of € 20.00; subject to availability.

CHECK OUT TIMES
By 10 am on the day of departure
It is possible to request a Late Check-out by 6 pm at an additional cost of € 20.00; subject to availability.

ARE THERE REDUCED FARES FOR THE FERRIES?
ELBADOC Camping Village offers you a discount of up to 35% on the ferry ticket using a code that you can enter when you buy the ticket, which you can do yourself.
Up to 35% with FERRY LINES on Moby and Toremar with car restrictions. Up to 20% with TRAGHETTIPER with other shipping companies (Blunavy, Corsica Ferries and direct hydrofoil Piombino-Cavo) and without vehicle restriction.
We recommend the Piombino - Cavo route, you can either choose the ferry or the hydrofoil (passengers only), it is the quickest way to reach the island and the port is only 800 m from the campsite!
Alternatively, there is the port at Rio Marina just 7 km away, or Portoferraio 35 km from ELBADOC Camping Village.

Up to 3 amps with blue industrial socket type 2P+E IEC 309.
An adapter for Italian comb sockets is necessary, if you do not have one please ask at the Reception: we rent it (a deposit of € 20.00 is required).

COMMON SANITARY FACILITIES
Separate for men and women, with free hot water, complete with toilets, showers, washbasins and sinks for dishes. Baby-friendly washbasins and sanitary facilities. Toilet with changing table for new mothers.

PLAYGROUND
The play area is reserved for children aged 3 to 12 years ACCOMPANIED BY THEIR PARENTS.

Tourist medical service
The medical service for tourists provides services such as medical care for tourists, outpatient visits, home visits, first aid, nursing care for tourists and home care.
On public holidays and before public holidays, the Tourist Assistance Service does not provide home visits, which must be requested from the Continuity of Care Service by calling 0586-223456.

CAN I BOOK HALF OR FULL BOARD?

Our ELBAR RESTAURANT is the place where you can start your day with an excellent breakfast and end it with a dinner of fresh pasta - our speciality!

We also offer a Take Away service, you can book and enjoy your meal on the beach, on your pitch or in the shade on the veranda of your bungalow!

DOES THE CAMPSITE HAVE A PARTNER BEACH?
The beaches of Cavo, 800 m from ELBADOC Camping Village, are pebble and sandy, with a sandy seabed, ideal for children.
There are free and equipped beaches, as well as characteristic rocky coves, famous for their wonderful seabed.

ARE PETS ALLOWED AT ELBADOC CAMPING VILLAGE?

Pets are welcome at ELBADOC camping village.
A payment of €5.00 to €8.00 per night per animal is required.
Pets are allowed as long as the relevant regulations are observed.
The campsite is for people and the stay of animals is subordinate to the safety and hygiene of people.
Dogs, in particular, must be kept on a leash and their owners must collect their waste.
Complaints from other campers about animals will result in fines (€50.00) or expulsion of offenders.
Animals are not allowed to enter the accommodation, and in case of transgression, an extra cleaning fee of €35.00 will be charged.

CAN PETS ACCESS THE BEACHES?
Law 59/2009 of the Region of Tuscany summarises all the rules for the behaviour and protection of animals and their related activities.
It is possible to bring animals to the beach without any problems, with the sole obligation of using a leash and (where applicable) a muzzle, as provided for by the Ordinance of 6 August 2013 of the Ministry of Health and subsequent extensions.
Access is only forbidden in areas dedicated to children or in other places intended for specific purposes, as indicated by appropriate signs.
At the beach establishments, you should contact the individual managers to find out which regulations apply to the presence of animals on the beach.

DOES THE CAMPSITE OFFER A SHUTTLE BUS TO THE BEACHES?
The sea is 800 m from the campsite, a 7-minute walk or a few pedal cycles on our rental bikes!
To reach the beaches of the shinning coastline as far as Bagnaia Nisporto or Nisportino the Municipality of Rio offers a FREE SHUTTLEBUS SERVICE, the nearest stop is at the port of Cavo.

IS THERE ANY ANIMATION?
While ELBADOC Camping Village does not have a “tourist” animation service, we invite young and old to enjoy the many activities organised on the campsite:
• sailing courses with Guido from the UTOPIA sailing school,
• workshops to discover the sea and its inhabitants, snorkelling and diving with Valeria from CAVO DIVING,
• hiking and biking excursions with expert guides,
• boat trips with Michele from Capo Pero Boat Service,

From the port of Cavo you can easily reach Portoferraio in 15 minutes by HYDROFOIL (passengers and bicycles only). Timetables are available at the Reception.

At the MINIMARKET in ELBADOC Camping Village next to the reception you will find the basic necessities, small but well stocked!

Fresh fruit and vegetables FROM 0 KM upon leaving the campsite, turn right (200 m).
Farmer Millo will serve you his fresh harvest!

In CAVO there is a bakery, butcher, greengrocer and a small supermarket, as well as a newsagent, tobacconist, cash dispenser, post office, pharmacy and sailing club (+39 (0565) 931023).

IN RIO (7 km) are CONAD and COOP.

IS A BARBECUE ALLOWED?

Barbecues are allowed, without burning wood, but the appropriate charcoal.
For our guests we offer BARBECUES FOR RENT to be booked at the Reception. A cash deposit is required.

PRESERVE NATURE with simple gestures

ELBADOC Camping Village promotes Sustainable Tourism, attentive to the environment to protect the magnificent nature that hosts us through:

• Separation of waste collection.
• Limiting water consumption through time-controlled taps.
• Attention is paid to vegetation with the planting of new native plants and fruit trees.
• The exclusion of weed-killing chemicals and the use of natural, non-polluting substances.
• The use of electric vehicles and bicycles as far as possible.

COLLABORATE WITH US!

WHAT CAN OUR GUESTS DO TO HELP US PRESERVE THE ENVIRONMENT?

We work together to make recycling easier:
use the specific bins in the campsites
We only put rubbish in closed bags.
We do not throw papers and other items on the ground, but in the green bins.
Do not put out or throw cigarette butts on the ground or in pots, but in the ashtrays provided.
Water is precious - do not waste it.
Gently press the buttons on timed taps to release less water. Do not let the water run empty! This also saves energy.
Pay particular attention to the consumption of the free hot water: it should be 'used', but not wasted.
We pay attention to hedges and trees: use the open passages to cross the pitches.
Take care of your pets so that they do not damage things or people and do not make them dirty... and if they do, clean them!
We move around on foot or by bike, we use the car on the campsite only when absolutely necessary.

RECYCLING

GLASS
Glass bottles, jars and containers.

GENERAL
Stickers, plastic trinkets, ballpoint pens, nylon stockings, used toys, broken crockery, CDs, nappies and sanitary towels, plasticised paper, unusable shoes and rags, waste that cannot be recycled.

PAPER
Newspapers, magazines, books and notebooks, papers and photocopies, boxes, paper bags, cardboard packaging.

PLASTICS
Plastic packaging and containers, plastic bottles, plastic food trays, plastic bags, cans, tinplate, tetrapak beverage and food packaging, plastic plates and cups, fruit and vegetable nets, hangers.

ORGANIC
Food waste, meat or fish remains, fruit and vegetable scraps, cut flowers, dried fruit shells. Do not throw in any shells, crustacean shells (e.g. mussel shells, clams, etc.) or animal bones, which should be placed in the unsorted waste container, closed in bags.
